“Alisa has worked across the whole organisation. She has worked with me, our wider charity, our CEO, Board of Trustees and Expert Advisory Groups. She led on revising our new Safeguarding Policy which included training staff, volunteers, and our Board of Trustees. She also developed a policy on DBS checks. She developed guidance on risk factors for safeguarding and trained staff and Board both in person and remotely. She was an expert advisor as we translated the policy into the practice. She developed several pieces of good practice on specific pieces of work such a pre-bereavement online support groups for teenagers to safeguarding at large scale events (fundraising). Alisa worked with a multi professional team of counsellors, therapists, learning and development staff, operational, fundraising and senior management and Board and was able to work with and navigate all of these relationships with consideration, warmth but firmness which created buy in to developing our safeguarding further. Alisa showed her ability to lead, influence, provide subject matter expertise, policy writing, training, team working and overall project oversight skills. Without Alisa we would not have been able to embed safeguarding in the way we have, and she has left a long-term legacy from her time with us.”
